Water Baptism is an act of obedience that follows conversion, to symbolically portray the washing away of our sins. Water Baptism calls for immersion. It therefore signifies the death the death to sin, burial, and resurrection to new life in Christ.Water baptism also typifies baptism into the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12-13
At the Rock Place, we baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. We do so in accordance with Matthew 28:19. "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit . "
